Dr Brad Hockey

Dr Brad Hockey MbChB, FANZCA presents on surgery, anaesthesia in a Covid-19 environment. 

He graduated from Otago Medical School, Dunedin. His early training was in New Zealand, and he moved to Melbourne in 2007 to complete his anaesthesia Fellowship. Brad stayed in Australia to become a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. His anaesthetic specialties are in Neuroanaesthesia, Cardiothoracic anaesthesia, Malignant Hyperthermia and trauma.

He has considerable experience in medical education: co-directing a yearly international trauma conference in Japan, directing Advanced Life Support courses, and running difficult airway management courses, and trauma and massive transfusion workshops. He also is a Final Examiner for the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
 
He has been a Board member of Pangea Global Health Education for many years.
