Government House for Global Surgery Day

What a privilege to be hosted by the Honourable Linda Dessau AC Governor of Victoria and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC at Government House for Global Surgery Day.

Prof. Kate Drummond, Pangea’s  Board Chair, shared about Pangea and the work we do in medical education with our partners in Malawi and Zimbabwe.

We were then treated to a tour of the State House. Thanks to those who attended and helped celebrate Pangea and its work.

Global Surgery Day aims to spread awareness and recognition regarding the inequity in surgical access and outcomes for patients around the world. There is an acute need to work in this area and towards an equitable distribution of surgeons and surgical resources across the world. Pangea Global Health Education recognises this inequality in this area and is working to do what we can to support our partners in low resourced settings.
